Caring For Your UltraGile Garments

We believe in creating clothing that lasts, and proper care ensures your pieces remain beautiful for years to come. Here are our recommendations for maintaining your premium linen and cotton garments:

Linen Care

Washing

  • Turn garments inside out, button all buttons, and zip all zippers before washing
  • Use lukewarm water (below 30°C/86°F) and the gentle machine cycle
  • Use mild detergents specially formulated for delicate fibers
  • Never use bleach as it weakens fibers and may cause discoloration

Drying

  • Line drying is best for preserving your garments and reducing carbon emissions
  • Hang items in the shade or turn inside out to prevent fading
  • If using a dryer, use only low heat settings

Ironing & Storage

  • Iron linen garments while still slightly damp for best results
  • Always iron dark linen garments inside out to preserve color
  • Use medium-low heat settings on your iron to protect the fibers For storage, keep garments hanging in your wardrobe on wide wooden hangers instead of wire ones to prevent permanent creasing

Remember that linen becomes softer and more absorbent after each wash—it's a fabric that improves with time and care.

Cotton Care

Washing

Machine wash cotton at 30°C/86°F (cold) or use hand washing for spot treatments to save energy and reduce stress on the fibers. Turn colored garments inside out before washing to protect the outer surface.

Drying

Cotton fabrics can be air-dried or machine dried using moderate-to-low heat. High temperatures can cause cotton fibers to shrink. To minimize wrinkles, remove items from the dryer while slightly damp, give them a gentle tug to stretch them out, and then hang dry.

Ironing & Storage

Iron cotton on high heat while the fabric is slightly damp and use steam as needed. Ironing can often be avoided by air drying or removing items immediately from the machine.  For shirts, set your iron to the "cotton" setting and use steam to help the iron glide smoothly over the fabric.

Your UltraGile pieces are designed to become cherished wardrobe staples that only get better with wear. With proper care, they will maintain their beauty, comfort, and quality for years to come.
